Fixing in the sun

Amazing what a difference there is in the weather now, this gave me the first chance of the year for some outdoor car fixing, saving a lot of time by not having to go to the workshop. One less child, with Maud away at Tante Ingvill for a sleepover means me and Henny parked the car on a neighbouring car park and did our stuff.
The part to be changed?
A temperature sensor which after a bit of t'internet searching i found to be a sneaky dual sensor, one side sending to the ECU and the other to the temperature guage. The guage has been OK since the thermostat change but the car was still losing revs when changing gear or putting it in neutral at traffic lights. I was hoping this would do the trick.
So with the old one out eventually out, i could slip in the new one right, well yes but i broke a could of clips getting
it back in grrr, i hate working on 'new' cars.

The sun was shining, spirits were high.

A qiuck test drive showed a slight improvement, but this time the weather wasn't helping as the problem is much more noticeable when it is -10.
But with a long journey to Ff coming up next weekend it migh just make the difference.
